"The Obama administration threw open the curtain on years of Bush-era secrets Monday, revealing anti-terror memos that claimed exceptional search-and-seizure powers and divulging that the CIA destroyed nearly 100 videotapes of interrogations and other treatment of terror suspects." (-By DEVLIN BARRETT and MATT APUZZO YAHOO!) Not looking too good for the supporters of Guantanamo Bay! This arises some serious questions of the Bush administration! This shows Obamas will to be open with the public on the things he supports.... This not only brings up the question of what where the interrogation tactics but also what did they find out? Was it something they didnt want the American public to know or was it they didnt want people to know of torture....

This is revolutionary because the government is taking steps to be honest. But this shows how easy it is for the government to hide facts from the people. Hopefully Obama makes steps to actually make an honest government.
ReplyDeletemegan spoke of a massive conspiracy theory with the entire government and I immediately shook my head. but hiding secrets like this is only the topping on a frozen yogurt, what about all the secrets we don't know about? your right. It's a form of a conspiracy. What's happening behind government doors?
ReplyDeletewe cant and we can never truly monitor it but how can we trust them when they lie like this. I have a lot of faith and trust in the American government but its hard when they hide things like this.
